The Omega Point Cosmological Theory argues that it may be possible to continue existing until the End of Time itself.

For anyone who's not aware, Jesuits are an order of Catholic clergy. They've always pushed boundaries; sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. Many people in history have used Jesuits as a means to persecute Catholics broadly.

According to Penrose, it wouldn't be so much a big crunch as a big snap. As the last black hole evaporates, dark energy has no dark or light matter left to reference frame, and, like a bursting bubble it snaps back into the next big bang.

I seriously need to start writing my story about a squad of Catholic priests tasked to stop the apocalypse by keeping Jesus reborn from dying in violence. Anyway I wonder if there is a Catholic sect who believes that only when we become godlike will we be allowed into heaven. 😅

Lol. This conversation/topic holds the subsets of all subjects possible. The universe is and is not. The true undivisible molecule and the unifying force and the unseen matter and the binding void are the same thing…the All that is In All, the Alpha/Omega, Who Causes to Become… the Creator dreams universes, stars, planets, molecules into being….its mind experiences those dreams through countless iterations while any given dream remains…instants or eons all are the same…for the One, all times are NOW, all places are HERE all beings are I AM. All endings are beginnings, all creation dances toward awakening, changing, merging, separating then reuniting, many becomes few becomes One. All things, all events, are seen

What if c is the universal "stillness"? As in the property of non-motion, whereas motion is just a differential/delta of expansion rate in any given direction, which also creates direction, and therefore space, and by way of non-immediacy imposed by c, time? I mean, let's just assume that is true – and lucky for us, physics as we know it remains the same and just as incomplete as ever. The implications for the fate of such a Universe is interesting to ponder.

Worth watching til the end, for the Robert Frost altered poem!

Could comes be point like in the hidden dimensions, but "rounded" in ours? (due to imaginary numbers).

Feels like Isaac Arthur have multiple possible explanations to the Fermi paradox.
This ones makes a lot of sense as you could possibly digitalize you entire population and by being infinetelly small you are extremely hard to find.

Good video. However, any discussion about the Omega Point and the eventual existence of intelligent being that doesn't discuss the corruption that is Russian Cosmism has missed a major issue. I would love to see you tackle Longtermism and it's desire to avoid dealing with suffering in the immediate in favor of a hypothetical virtual heaven in the far distant future.

I am very new to this, someone on a podcast mentioned The Omega Point, so I made a note to watch a video on it – this! One minute and 36 seconds in, and my mind was aware it was going to be blown…you did not disappoint. Does anybody else find it difficult to hold onto a lot of this information? I think I just need to spend more time around it. It's a great video though, thank you

At 10:20 to 10:30 you talk about math resulting in conceptual problems. Why dose math interfere with concepts? Both are human constructs and the existence of any single concept does not require the existence of anything other than a brain to think it up. The same in true of math. We do have a tenancy of putting math on a pedestal as if nothing can exist without it and tend to forget that it is just a language that we invented to describe things.

Zeno’s paradox is not often or by many people taken seriously in contemporary philosophy, I’ve mostly seen it used to illustrate that a valid argument can be unsound and false. We know that when an arrow is shot from a bow, it reaches the end of its path. This doesn’t make a paradox.

Now I'm imagining our galaxy being no more than a molecule in a braincell of one galaxy cluster, in a giant brain that is the universe, and how our little molecule may be rhe furthest we are capable of going in our existence… and what, of anything, could potentially be in the rest of it

Teilhard was behind the "piltdown" discovery which was a complete counterfeit science he was also a fevered headed races , 26 yrs in China didn't speak a word of Chinese and was a close associate to mao Zhang dang ,who was very influenced by his entropy of erroneous ramblings , teilhard is a colossal influence on cults in spite of his anonymity (heavens gate was big on him) he's still seen as a catalyst to solidify the engulfing abyss between Evolution and theology, it's funny there's absolutely no way of bringing any of these philosophical ponderings to focus it's almost like shedding tears under water
