PI NETWORK SUMMARY
Pi Network is an experiment to create the first digital cryptocurrency that can be mined on a mobile phone.
It is an attempt to create a decentralized open-source blockchain that is eco-friendly. It was created by three Stanford University graduates Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis, Dr. Chengdiao Fan, and Vincent McPhillip.
Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis, the head of technology, had previously co-founded Gameyola, a monetization and distribution platform for casual Flash games on social networks, and is the instructor of Stanford University’s first decentralized applications class; combining distributed systems and human-computer interaction to bring cryptocurrency to everyday people.
Vincent McPhillip, the head of the community, had also previously co-founded The Stanford Blockchain Collective, a cross-disciplinary student club across the engineering, business, and law schools.
Unlike bitcoin with its proof-of-work consensus protocol, Pi, the cryptocurrency generated by Pi Network miners as a reward for mobile activities performed to secure the blockchain, is built on the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP).
The Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP) requires several nodes to cast ballots on transaction validity, an activity that requires less computing power compared to bitcoin’s proof-of-work consensus protocol that depends on nodes that require lots of electricity which, consequently, has negative effects on the environment because of the carbon emissions that results from bitcoin mining.
In October 2019, just 7 months after launch, Pi Network recorded over 500,000 installs, with active users spread across 180 countries.

What caught my attention:
With my Pi application, I was around 197 Pi(s) mined, 137 transferable, and 56 non-transferable, the "Pioneers" of the network know what I'm talking about…
So I decided, at a certain point, to validate a whole bunch of steps of their so-called KYC, which I did brilliantly until I got to the step of “ the Lockdown Pledge”, again, the “Pioneers” know what I’m talking about.
This “lock commitment”, supposed to multiply the mining power of my miner by 3, for a value set to the price of the crypto ($40) over 3 years each time I decide to launch mining, i.e. producing me around $40 every 1.3 day(s), did not work as expected and mentioned in their tutorial.
I thus realized that all my assets quickly undermined after this locking commitment were transferred in the amount of my “non-transferable balance”, that is to say the unusable balance of my account… Amazed I was, for a while, before realizing through a certain driven instinct that only certain insiders have, that in fact no crypto has any intrinsic or real value.
The SCAM: IT'S JUST THE CONTINUITY OF THE ADVERTISING INDUSTRY.
A SUPER-DIFFICULT MATHEMATICAL ALGORITHM TO SOLVE ACCORDING TO THE EVOLUTION OF CERTAIN ADVERTISING COMPANY ACCOUNTS IS IMPLEMENTED, FROM WHERE, ADVERTISERS INJECT A BASIC VALUE, AND IT IS THIS VALUE OF ADVERTISING CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CRYPTO ALGORITHM AND THE ADVERTISING COMPANY ACCOUNTS TO WHICH IT IS LINKED WHICH WILL BE DEVELOPED BASED ON THE TRUST AND SUBSCRIPTION MODEL OF CRYPTO SUBSCRIBERS, HUM.

Collecting ad revenue and selling your information. If they launch their token and prices plummet (which it will) no one will be incentivized to mine tokens aka watching ads. There hasnt been a single project in crypto thats taken 4 years and built what they have unless its been a scam

It’s always the same three people. You can’t run even a toilet with just three people. And I really don’t like the direction this is going. I’ve been reading up Pi stuff once in a while. When you have “believers”, you essentially have a cult. Crypto should be about maths, problem solving, block chain, RSA, DH, modular arithmetics, not “I believe”. Zzz

YES, it does not ask for money when you signup. However: IT DOES MAKE money from ads. 1 ad / day / user x 30M users. Do the math.
Withdrawal of "actual money" will be possible in PHASE3 of the project (so basically if PHASE3 is never coming … ? ez money).
I am a software developer, and out of curiosity I DID CHECK their app. You must be a FOOL to believe your phone can mine cryptocurrencies with 1 click/day.
Also another BIG RED flag for me is the average way the mobile-app presents itself. Literally 1week project :).
YES, you have nothing to lose (since u did not transfer them money). But I have a feeling the app is not there to help you, the user:
1 ad / day / user x 30M users. Do the math.
