03/01/2025 - 10:43 AMMy sibling has a genetic disease wherein a single part of their DNA is switched. They’ve been physically impaired their entire life. There’s a high chance that I am a carrier of this disease and can pass it on to my own children. I know genetic modification sounds something out of a dystopian novel but I’m hopeful that perhaps we could someday eradicate such diseases for good. 🤞
