(September 24, 2012) Leonard Susskind gives a broad introduction to general relativity, touching upon the equivalence principle.

This series is the fourth installment of a six-quarter series that explore the foundations of modern physics. In this quarter, Leonard Susskind focuses on Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity.

●EINSTEIN'S GENERAL RELATIVITY IN 6 STEPS

DOES GRAVITATIONAL ACCELERATION DEPEND ON VELOCITY?

Argumentative schematism of Einstein's General Relativity (each step is a consequence of the preceding step):
    1) Einstein's Equivalence Principle
    2) Gravitational motion equations: geodesics DU = 0
    3) The gravitational potential is represented by the spacetime metric itself: which guarantees, since the covariant derivatives of the spacetime metric are null, that the gravitational motion equations are given by the geodesics DU = 0 of the Einstein Principle of Equivalence
    4) Gravitational Field Equations: These are the so-called Einstein Equations, which are built on the prejudice that the tetradimensional gravitational potential is represented (again in accordance with the Equivalence Principle) by the spacetime metric itself
    5) Solution of Einstein's Equations for the symmetrically spherical stationary gravitational field: Schwarzschild metric
    6) Zeros and mathematical infinities in spacetime metrics. "Broken" spacetime. Theoretical prediction of black holes and event horizons

    Reasonable doubts:
    1) What would happen if the four-dimensional gravitational potential was not represented by the spacetime metric itself, but adding another new potential related with tetravelocity? : http://vixra.org/abs/1510.0137
    2) What would happen if Einstein's Principle of Equivalence were not rigorously true? :

21:21 so professor can I say that the time is the amount of or related into the distortion of space vectors known? If you have a huge amount of mass (energy) it will cause such distortion in space that time can reach the limit towards zero. If less energy (mass therefore less gravity the time flows slowly cause the acceleration "a" is slower so for an piece of space change its state takes more time.

Imagine a fictional scenario where each voxel in the universe is contained a fixed amount of a kind of liquid cristal like in the LCD television s pixels. Let's call the imaginary Liquid cristal as Aether Lumineferous. So in the same way as tv it takes a time to transverse a line in the tv space. Soh time can be a measurement of space do to the fixed refresh rate of the TV screen. So assuming in this fictional scenario the C constant would be the refresh rate of the changing state of the aether Lumineferous contained on each voxel.

Can I think Time as a 4th space vectors sir?

What about transformation that goes like this:
    Z’ = Z – C/(x^2+y^2+z^2)^(1/2)*t^2 -mimicking the gravitational field dependency?

Recent astophysics research suggests that the universe is flat and not curved like Einstein thought it was. Much to the horror of relativists there are straight lines in space.

Well, he's no Menahem Max Schiffer. I refer to a certain former student of Erwin Schrödinger who, in about 1970, taught this course at Stanford. I was his grader then. He had been told by Schrödinger that he had to make up his mind and decide on whether he was to become a physicist or a mathematician. He chose the latter, yet taught GR from the math department. He was stunningly articulate and his penmanship on the board was astoundingly good. And he, with Ronald Adler and Maurice Bazin, wrote an introductory book on the subject.
