03/06/2025 - 8:57 AMSoooo…just to reiterate. We agree that the alternative to hard solipsism is to believe that you're not a brain in a vat (which you acknowledge is unfalsifiable), so you accept that proposition (sans evidence).
That's FAITH!
Stop pretending that it isn't and making excuses for it. Just be honest and own it.

03/06/2025 - 8:57 AMIt would be quite the task, wouldn't it? To be able to provide an example of a consciousness absent a brain if the consciousness necessarily depends on the physicality of the world to interact within it.
Consciousness could very well exist outside a brain but we would never know it, virtually the same as anesthesia awareness, where others can interact with you but you can't interact with them.
