We ask ourselves, why haven't they communicated with us?
Our current understanding is based on a universe 14 billion years old.
Our current understanding and expectation is based on light speed or FTL travel.
But if Aliens could instantly travel anywhere in the universe, the possibilities of where the Aliens could travel to would become infinite.
Thereby increasing the size of the universe by factors of trillions. This would make it almost impossible for intelligent extraterrestrial life and our own to ever cross paths.

"The first requirement of a scientist is that they be curious. They should be capable of being astonished and eager to find out." E.S. Dr. Tyson, with all due respect, you need to remember this when it comes to their issue of UAPs. You completely dismiss the topic, and as a long-time fan, that disappoints me. Also, spend anymore more time wasted going on Joe Rogan's show. Giving idiots a little knowledge is dangerous. They take that scrap of intelligence that fell off your plate and devour it. Then, they think they're smart, and that's even more dangerous.

At the rate what we “know” changes I’ll put my hat in for humanity getting it right the first time and we are the center of the universe but everyone didn’t like us so they moved their galaxies as far away as possible. Because hey if they got the tech why not ?

I have a theory, but it is crazy! Humans are born from planet to planet, i was born on planet Earth, and when i die, i will be born again on a different planet all over again. It's crazy that we humans can't still figure out where we go after death, like why it has to be that way?

Our inability to detect alien life doesn’t necessarily negate its existence- it simply means we are unable to detect it yet. That’s not a “they” problem- that’s an US problem.

Here's the real issue, from a scientific point of view we have no idea what life is! We cannot replicate it, we cannot explain it and we don't know its purpose, yet we have the arrogance to say, well as big as the universe is there must be other life out there! I think you first need to understand the complexities of life and how it came to be in the first place before making such bold statements. This link may give a better understanding of the bigger problem.

Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.”

The galaxy is impossibly vast. We live in the outskirts of a galactic region. Nothing around us for impossible distances. Our world is very very unique in that our moon is what it is, in that we have a water world with us juuuuust the right distance from the sun. We are very very rare. The number of places that exist like here is also impossible small. You cannot travel at more than 10% of the speed of light. So, we are not quite alone, but we might as well be.

The issue, or maybe personal confusion, that I have here is that I don't believe starting before us would constitute special status. If I'm planting an orchard and it takes me 10 days to plant all the trees, when it comes time to harvest fruit the first trees planted will bear fruit before the latter trees, those earlier trees aren't special, they're very normal and doing exactly as they're supposed to do.

A 70 year old man isn't special in a room full of 50 year olds, he's just a bit older.

No chance there isn't other intelligent life out there. The odds are just far to high that somewhere else life formed and could be far more advanced than us or behind us. Maybe they have visited us, say at Roswell, maybe they don't even know we exist. We haven't been sending out signals that long in the frame of time of the universe.

It’s said if there are other intelligent life forms the rule is don’t interfere/interact with other civilizations unless they’ve gotten to the point where space travel is normal. Not to give them the hand in leaping or they’ll fall/fail fast

I believe there is a limit to how fast an intelligent species can travel. People talk about 10% of speed of light as if it's going from gear 3 to 4. What if other civilizations tried doing it 10,000 times and they always get obliterated along the way by one thing or the other?

  • @franciscoramirez1433

    02/19/2025 - 10:54 AM

No aliens have visited because we rail gun their home world with a manhole cover and they were shocked we were able to calculate that trajectory across multiple galaxies.

Apparently no one told Neil how large the distances are between planets. Or how rare the perfect conditions are for the evolution of technological civilizations.

  • @Wall2000x

An alien space craft approaching the Solar system would have to de-accelerate close to earth between the Sun and Jupiter. I would be highly unlikely it could occur in such close confines.

  • @Katnip452

    02/19/2025 - 10:54 AM

One of the common mistakes I think people make who believe in alien visitations to Earth is the assumption that other intelligent life out there can magically solve all the same problems we have: how to get into space, how to survive for long periods without renewable supplies, how to get anywhere so far away within a reasonable amount of time.

If there are people on other planets, it’s wishful thinking that they must have superior technology. They may be wondering where we are, too, and also frustrated they can’t find out.

  • @TraaaaaasshBooooaaaatttt

    02/19/2025 - 10:54 AM

If we arent special then why would the other aliens be special? If we dont have the technology yet why do we assume other planets would have the technology?
We always assume that aliens HAVE to be more advanced but why is that?
And of course we assume that somehow they would be able to do things that break physics like faster than light travel, or some way to survive the hundreds or thousands of years it would take to travel distances. If it's physically impossible for us why wont it be for any other alien?
