The Gaia Theory proposes that all living organisms interact with surroundings on Earth to create a synergistic and self regulating system that maintains balance! But why is it called the Gaia Theory? Who came up with it? And what do we mean when we say we’re living in a synergistic system?

if I am a living being on which 7 billion bacteria live, why shouldn't I live on a being on which 7 billion people live?! 🫵

Humans are like a virus. We spread to an area and destroy it. Only way to survive is to spread to another area.

    My opinion:
The concept of what IS live changes, are humans and plants alive? Yes. Are they the same type of living things? No.
There are no such living things that are the same type as other species, like a human shares many things with monkets, but they're not the same type of living thing.
Both are animals, but they do not work the same way. I see live as a thing that adapts itself as things happens/changes, and do things that normally living things do, like moving.
I see planets as organisms, but not exactly living things. It's like, they do adapt to changes, they do move, they do many things similiarly to living things. Basically, I see them like a system, like plants: plants are all: organisms, living things and systems. Planets do not reproduce(at least I think they don't reproduce) they only do that when they collide, a moon may form, et cetera. So for me, planets are KIND OF living things, but they're not living things exactly, it's hard to explain. (Sorry for using the words "things" and "like" alot, I'm Brazilian, and we use them A LOT). Hope anyone understands.

Its a interesting theory, because when you look at mother nature, everything has a job to for betterment of the plant, animals and plants, and then theres us, we have lost our connection with the earth

Homo sapiens are like cancerous cells in the body.. both finally killing the host body and gets wiped out along with the host. Or we might infect other bodies (other planets ) like viruses..

3 reasons why there's life on earth, 1 the size of the sun, 2 the size of the earth, 3 the distance of the earth from the sun, which gives it the right environment to have life, the same can be for any other star with planets in the galaxy or universe that has the same comparison

Mother Earth is doing a wonderful job in combating human damage. She is fighting back with natural disasters, viruses, climate change. Remember humans can’t destroy to earth. We can only destroy its habitability for us.

Since we are made of the same elements that can be found on earth.. I would say we are not the disease but instead contracted a disease of the mind, that's causing us to behave out of sync with the upper level systems. This is causing us to behave in a destructive manner. Heal our minds & hearts and the natural by product would be healing the greater super system in which we reside. If all our cells in our body are healthy we say the body is healthy. We are the living cells of the earth. Time to heal ourselves. Blessings 🙏

I just have one simple question, if we can believe this just happened on its own out of no where, is it far fetched to believe that some one actually created the earth and placed us in it.

Why did you contradict yourself with the man-made climate change bias? The last 40 years prove that Gaia is working to correct ALL man-made carbon emissions. Geologic history is exceptionally well researched and the science indicates how the entire planet has cycles of hot and cold which are part of the Gaia regulation. Our current era is just average in ALL aspects. Carbon is not a pollutant. The areas that man is disrupting are plastic pollution and overfishing of the oceans. And lately, we have done biological research to create deadly diseases. These are the things that must stop.

Great video, and a wonderful insight from a person beyond its time. Although….Lovelock just passed away a few weeks ago, over 100 years of age. Enormous contribution. Challenge to think, but in any case, it is a very useful concept to spread the news that the planet is ill and we are the cause. We must change. Thanks for the video!

"The earth is one big organism housing millions of other organisms, with each depending on another for survival."

No better way to illustrate the interdependent relationship that exists between us.
